Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. A protest action will be held in Nardaran against the arrest of villagers Haji Ali Huseynov and Haji Hikmat Valiyev. Member of the Nardaran Village Council Mashadi Natig Karimov told APA they will demand at the meeting to take place in Imam Huseyn Square on February 4, from the Interior Ministry’s Office on Combating the Organized Crimes to release Haji Ali Huseynov and Haji Hikmat Valiyev detained during the operations on January 24 and February 3.
Criminal case was launched on the fact on Article 134 (threatening to kill or inflict serious bodily harm) of the Criminal Code over the threatening of chairman of Citizen Solidarity Party and member of parliament Sabir Rustamkhanli in the picket held in Imam Huseyn Square of Nardaran on January 9. Nardaran resident Haji Ali Huseynov was detained on January 24 and sentenced to two-month imprisonment. Haji Hikmat Valiyev was detained on February 3.
