6 employees of Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office administratively punished, 1 dismissed from prosecutorâ€™s office and 1 dismissed from his post last year

Baku â€“ APA. 99.4 percent of the crimes recorded in Azerbaijani Armed Forces last year were solved. APA reports that it was noted at the board meeting in Azerbaijani Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office. Making a report at the board meeting Military Prosecutor Khanlar Valiyev said compared with 2007 the number of crimes reduced by 7 percent in 2008. The crimes against military service reduced by 2.4 percent, leaving the military unit without permission reduced by 9.9 percent, abuse of power, or nonuse of power by 27.8 percent, negligent approach to service by 33.3 percent, nonmilitary crimes by 25.1 percent, crimes against property by 5.8 percent, inciting to suicide by 52.6 percent, premeditated murder by 13.6 percent, grave crimes by 58.5 percent, especially grave crimes reduced by 29.4 percent.
Military Prosecutor said the crimes related to violation of rules on vehicles increased by 60 percent and violation of rules on weapons and things dangerous for the people increased by 21.7 percent. The Armed Forces take relevant measures to prevent such crimes.
Khanlar Valiyev also said that the military prosecutorâ€™s offices ensured payment of 59.7 percent of the damage caused by the crimes. It is 10 percent up compared with 2007.
Valiyev said serious measures had been taken about the employees violating laws. Under the order issued by Prosecutor General, 6 employees were administratively punished, 1 dismissed from prosecutorâ€™s offices for wrongdoing and 1 dismissed from his post.
Khanlar Valiyev noted that on the eve of the professional holiday, new nine-storey administrative building of Republic Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office was being constructed and construction of Gazakh Military Prosecutorâ€™s Office continued.
