Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. Public Union for Captives and Hostages Assistance “Way of Sorrow” Youth Organization issued statement on the occasion of February 2, Youth Day. The Union’s sources told APA tens of Azerbaijani young people are still in Armenian-captivity, said in the statement. Nearly 5000 Azerbaijani citizens were missing as a result of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan. 47 of them are children and more than 600 missing are the young people. Witnesses confirmed their detention in captivity and hostage, but Armenia denies it, preventing the solution to this problem. The captured and hostage young people are detained in the hard conditions in Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia, are used as a slave in the different hard works. 1396 people were released from the Armenian captivity until 1996 and 169 of them were children, who are the young people now suffered from the depression after the tortures in Armenia, said in the statement.
Authors of the statement called on the children of captives and hostages, the young people released from the captivity, as well as youth organizations in the country to be solidary.
