Nardaran resident threatened Azerbaijani parliamentarian to murder was sentenced for two-month pre-trial restriction

Baku. Hafiz Heydarovâ€“APA. Ali Huseynov, detained for threatening Chairman of Citizen Solidarity Party, Member of the Parliament Sabir Rustamkhanli to murder, was sentenced for two-month pre-trial restriction. The decision was passed at the Narimanov District Court session presided by Judge Sevinj Aliyeva.

Sabuncu District Police Office launched a criminal case on the fact of death threats against the Chairman of Citizen Solidarity Party and Member of the Parliament Sabir Rustamkhali sounded during the meeting in Nardaran Village on January 9, 2009 within the Article 134 (Threat to murder or causing of serious harm to health) of the Criminal Code. The investigators clarified that resident of Nardaran Village Huseynov Ali Humbat said at the meetings in Imam Huseyn square of Nardaran on Deecember 16, 2008 and January 9, 2009 that a fatwa was issued for Sabir Rustamkhaniâ€™s death and recommended him to increase the number of his securities.
Huseynov was detained on January 24. The fact is under the investigation.
