One was rescued and three were evacuated during the fire, which broke out in the building in Shamsi Badalbayli Street, 106, Baku, chief of State Fire Fighting Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Akbar Novruzov told APA. He said that the fire broke out in apartment #91 on the third floor of the building, they received information at 12.36.
“One room of 90 sq m apartment and 40 sq m of the ceiling burnt,†he said.
Novruzov said the wooden floor of the upper floor had burnt, the fire also caused some damage on the neighboring flat.
“One was rescued and three were evacuated. The causes of the fire are being investigated,†he said.
Fire broke out in the building in Shamsi Badalbayli Street, 106 of Baku at 12.30 today. The fire was extinguished at 1.15. The burnt apartment is reportedly owned by Vahid Alakbarov. Farzi Heydarov, 83, resident of one of the apartments on the fourth floor was stifled by smoke and taken to Clinical Medical Centre. According to initial versions, short circuit caused the fire.
