15 employees of Baku Prosecutorâ€™s Office punished, including 1 dismissed from prosecuting bodies

Aziz Seyidov said prosecutorâ€™s office finished investigating 407 crimes and interior bodies 3924 crimes and submitted them to court. A number of grave crimes were investigated, the persons committing those crimes were exposed and held accountable in the reporting period.

It was noted that along with the positive results achieved in the reporting period, shortcomings were also observed. Five premeditated murders committed in 2008 were not solved, number of robberies increased, and this made it necessary to take more urgent measures.
Special attention was paid to the reception of citizens and consideration of their appeals last year.

Employees of prosecutorâ€™s office were demanded to completely obey labor and performance discipline, strict measures were taken about the employees violating law. 15 employees of the prosecutorâ€™s office were punished administratively, including one was dismissed from prosecuting bodies.

Aziz Seyidov gave thorough information about the targets lying ahead of the prosecuting bodies for discussing and explaining Referendum Act on â€œAmendments and annexes to the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republicâ€ and March 18 referendum.
