Baku. Elnur Mammadli –APA. The Nasimi District Court decision on two-month pre-trial restriction of political scientist Zardusht Alizadeh’s son Salur Alizadeh was appealed, Alizadeh’s lawyer Elchin Sadigov told APA. The lawyer said the court decision was not based on the real facts and they requested the Appeal Court to annul the district court’s decision.
Sadigov said Salur Alizadeh, 30 was charged with article 234.1 (illegal purchase or storage without a purpose of selling of narcotics or psychotropic substances in a quantity (amount) exceeding necessary for personal consumption) of the Criminal Code.

Zardusht Alizadeh told APA that law-enforcement bodies put forward baseless reasons for the arrest of his son. He said he was brought to the court and fined because he wrote in the press that “Azadliq” newspaper reporter Mirza Sakit was slandered and arrested. “They probably intend to make to avoid this step or to get back own”, said Alizadeh, “My son not a criminal. He is gentle, honest and hard-working young man”.
