APA’s correspondent at the site reports that the fire occurred in the training room of the Maternity Ward of the hospital. One fire engine was sent to the site, the fire was extinguished.
Assistant head physician of the hospital Araz Agalarov said short circuit had caused the fire. He said the fire had already been extinguished, no one had been injured.
The doctors of the Maternity Ward told APA that babies had been born in the ward, everything was normal.
Some parents took their babies home because of the fire.
Employees of Riad Security Service did not allow the journalists to approach the site.
