Two-month pre-trial restriction for carelessness led to building blast in Baku

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov–APA. Orkhan Aliyev, detained in connection with the gas leakage building blast at Javad Khan Street 30 in Nasimi District of Baku, was restrained judicially for two months, chief of the investigative group of the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office Khanlar Gafarov told APA. He said Aliyev lived in the apartment where the blast occurred.
Resident of Shirvan City Orkhan Rahim Aliyev was detained on January 18. He is accused in carelessness led to the blast. Nasimi District Prosecutor’s Office launched the criminal case on the article 124 (murder on imprudence) and 187 (destruction or damage of property on imprudence) of the Criminal Code.

A gas leakage caused a blast in 60th apartment of the five-storey building at Javad Khan Street, 30 in Nasimi District of Baku at about 16.00 on January 16. Five people died and 10 injured in the blast.
