Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. Emergency meeting of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly will be held in Strasbourg, France. Co-chair of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Arzu Abdullayeva told APA that the meeting would be held on January 22. Near East problem, the causes of Israel’s military operations in Gaza, ways to prevent the conflict and intercultural relations will be discussed at the meeting. Negative attitude towards non-Russians in Russia will also be discussed at the meeting.
Arzu Abdullayeva said Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly was concerned over the attitude towards foreign citizens in Russia.
“European community is concerned over the problem, as the number of those undergoing pressure and insult because of nationality is increasing in Russia,†she said.
Arzu Abdullayeva said another meeting of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly would be held on January 29.
