Causes of explosion in 20th polling station made public

Baku. Hafiz Heydarovâ€“APA. Causes of the 20th polling station of Nizami 1st Constituency of the Central Election Commission were made public. Investigators told APA underground oil field was found in the area, where polling station located. They found oil-mixed substances in the ground layer under the station building, which made the experts to conclude that there is an oil field in the area. Orientation gas leaked to the station from the oil field caused the explosion there. Despite that administrative building where the polling station located will not be removed. The experts allowed to reconstruct it until the upcoming referendum.
Chairman of the electoral district commission Niyazi Najafov told APA the polling station is repaired now. He said health of Chairman of the polling station Aydin Valiyev, who was injured during the blast, was satisfactory.
A blast took place in the 20th polling station in Nizami District on January 8. Chairman of the station Aydin Valiyev was lightly injured. He was taken to the burn center of the 5th Clinic Hospital.

The building was damaged seriously.
