Chechen Commander tears passport while deporting from Turkey to Russia

He was arrested on November 19. Abdulazimov was taken to airport named after Ataturk by two policemen. Former commander cried and said that he did not want to go to Russia and tore his passport. Policemen took him to detention facility at the airport and then took him to Istanbul Police Department.
Wife and children of Abdulazimov - Marina, 17, Nura, 11, Islam, 3, Maryam, 3, arrive at airport along with Turkish Human Rights Defender Nuray Canan Bazirgan. Mirana asked to release his father and not deport from the country. Bazirgan said that Abdulazimov was ill, he was arrested without any reason, and he will die if he is handed over to Russia.
Abdulazimov, 50, arrived in Azerbaijan after wounding during war in Chechnya. Former commander left Azerbaijan for Turkey for medical treatment in 2002 and returned back to Azerbaijan after ten days. He got permission to live in Turkey in March, 2008 and took his family to Istanbul in May.
