Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva–APA. Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) will neutralize the bombs found in Haji Zeynalabidin Tagiyev settlement of Sumgayit City in the mine polygon near Guzdak settlement next week. ANAMA operation expert Adil Aslanov told APA after the cleaning actions the ammunitions will be carefully taken to the polygon in special vehicles.
Aslanov said it was impossible to conduct explosions in Sumgayit because of industrial zone. They chose more secure place for the actions. The area where the bombs were found is under the control now.
58 FAB 50 air bombs, a 125-mm tank shell, three 122-mm cannon shots, two 76-mm canon shots, warhead of the cannon shots and one Grad missile were found in the entry to the settlement. The bombs with 50 kg of total weight have a destructive power in 500 m radius. The ammunitions were left by the former soviet army when it left Azerbaijan. The mine actions cover the area of 25 thousand square meters.
