Suspect notes giving of two tablets of “Ecstasy” to singer Tunar

The hearing on the case of Orkhan Nadirov, son of People’s Artist Ilhama Guliyeva, Mahir Mirsalamov and Yalchin Hasanov, sons of former Baku and Azizbayov prosecutors Adalat Mirsalamov and Rashid Hasanov, former police captain Vugar Aliyev and 10 was held in the Court of Grave Crimes on Thursday. APA reports that to witnesses to be heard today did not attend the process presided by judge Azer Orujov. The public prosecutor interrogated the defendants and made clear that there was note in the Hasanov’s notepad about selling two tablets of “Ecstasy” to singer Tunar and later buying a tablet from him. However Hasanov claimed that he did not make such a note in his notepad. Then the judge asked the defendants about the videotapes they made in Mirsalamov’s holiday home from the scene of “Ecstasy” consumption. The defendants said they intended to shoot a film about “Ecstasy” and inebriated drinking Tequila only.

Then Nadirov’s lawyer Seyfaddin Aliyev gave a petition claiming about guiltlessness of his client and asked to release him from the court room. The judge said his petition would be discussed and after that they would make a decision. The process will continue on December 30.

The defendants are accused of illicit drug turnover and use of drugs. According to the indictment, they faced charges under articles 234.1 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) and 234.4.1 (Illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances on preliminary arrangement by group of persons or organized group) of the Criminal Code. They were arrested by the National Security Ministry in May this year.
