Culture Minister Alexander Avdeyev: â€œBakuâ€™s nightingale Azerbaijan presented us was also Russiaâ€™s national heroâ€

Head of Moscow department of All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress Ilgar Hajiyev told APA that too many people want to bid farewell to the legendary singer, his admirers are rallying in the street. Presenter of the ceremony, famous art critic Stanislav Belza said Muslum Magomayevâ€™s best quality was friendship. Muslum Magomayevâ€™s close friend, peopleâ€™s artist of Russia Lev Leshenko also spoke about him.
â€œWe lived in black and white world, but Muslum could make it colorful. This young, handsome, talented and cheery man opened new world for us, inflamed us. This sparkle will live in our hearts forever,â€ he said.

Russiaâ€™s Culture Minister Alexander Avdeyev underlined that Muslum Magomayev was genius both in opera and estrade.
â€œBakuâ€™s nightingale Azerbaijan presented us was also Russiaâ€™s national hero,â€ the minister said.

First deputy mayor of Moscow Ludmila Shvetsova addressing Muslum Magomayevâ€™s wife Tamara Sinyavskaya said the legendary singer would be perpetuated in Moscow.

Governor of Moscow Boris Gromov, chairman of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yevgeni Primakov, prima donna of Russian estrade Alla Pugachova and other famous persons also participated in the farewell ceremony.

The ceremony was to end at 14.00 (Baku time) but was prolonged because of the crowd.

Muslum Magomayevâ€™s songs â€œMelodiyaâ€, â€œNoktyurnâ€, â€œZa vse tebe blagodaryuâ€ and others are played in all metro stations of Moscow today.
