Moscow farewells with genius Azerbaijani Muslum Magomayev

The event started at 11.00 (Baku time). Official part of the event will be held at 13.00.Azerbaijani delegation has been sent to the farewell ceremony. The body will be brought to Baku by special plane today. Farewell ceremony with the singer will be held in Azerbaijan State Philarmony named after Magomayev from 11.00 till 15.00 on October 29.
The singer will be buried in the Alley of Honors at 16.00 tomorrow.
Magomayev died at home after a long term disease in Moscow on October 25.
Magomayev was born in Baku on August 17, 1942. He was a soloist at Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theatre from 1963. Magomayev graduated from Azerbaijan State Conservatory in 1968.
The singer was sent to Italy to conclude education financed by the government. Magomayev gained experience at La Scala Theatre in Milan in 1964-65.
Magomayev was an art director of Azerbaijan State Variety â€“Symphonic Orchestra from 1975. He gave concerts in CIS states, France, Bulgaria, Poland, Finland, Canada, Iran and other countries.
He was awarded orders and medals of Azerbaijan and former USSR.
