Arzu Abdullayeva to resign from chairmanship of Committee for Protection of Freedom of Speech

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. â€œCommittee for Protection of Freedom of Speech is still operating, but I will resign if the members of the Committee work so,â€ Chairperson of the Committee Arzu Abdullayeva told APA. She said though the Committee established to defend the rights of the imprisoned journalists had 167 members, they did not take active part in the rallies.
â€œOnly 10 or 15 of them participate in the pickets. We carry out action of assistance to the families of the imprisoned journalists, very little money is collected,â€ she said.

Arzu Abdullayeva also added that inactive members of the committee would be dismissed at the next meeting.
