Ombudsman’s Office publicizes outcomes of observation during presidential elections

The press service told APA that the office had not received a complaint about violation of law during the elections.
“The presidential elections also showed that our country is committed the principles of legal and democratic state building, ensuring human rights, establishing civil society, improving management, national legislation and election technologies,” the office said.
It was noted that serious measures had been taken to hold democratic, transparent, fair elections in line with the legislation, ensure voting rights and organize the voting procedure.
“At the same time it was observed that the voters were very active.”
It was reported that 30 representatives of ombudsman’s office observed the voting in 51 regions, 96 ConECs and 356 polling stations, followed the voting in over 30 refugee and IDP communities, 7 military units, jails, detention facilities. They also observed counting of votes and preparation of final protocols.
“No violation of law was observed,” the office said.
