Ombudswoman holds meeting in Sumgayit with a view to the presidential elections

Baku -APA. Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan Republic Elmira Suleymanova together with the Azerbaijan Women and Development Center held a meeting in Sumgayit City with a view to the elections, Press Service of the Ombudsmanâ€™s Office told APA. Local officials, representatives of the NGO and mass media, as well as enterprises and organizations attended the meeting. The ombudswoman spoke about the duties of election commissions, executive authorities and police and emphasized that interference of these officials in the voting process was unacceptable. Local election officials said that election campaign was widened and all candidates were provided with equal opportunities.
