New details found out in the case of baby selling in the 3rd Clinic Hospital

Baku resident Gultakin Hasanova complained to the law-enforcement bodies claiming that her new-born baby had been sold by the hospital’s staff. The doctor and nurse were detained by the officers of the Interior Ministry’s General Office for Combating the Organized Crime.
Results of investigation show that Hasanova gave a birth to her child on October 7. The 3rd Clinic Hospital officials said that they have not registered a patient named Gultakin Hasanova, who claimed about selling her baby.
The hospital officials said that Vafa Aliabbas Isayeva came to the maternity unit of the hospital on August 21, whose baby was born with hypoxia and 15 hours later was sent to the Scientific-Research Institute of Pediatrics (OMD) and died there 6 hours later. Isayeva hadn’t identity card when she came to the hospital and registered herself under this name. The hospital officials supposed that the woman registered under the name of Vafa Isayeva was Gultakin Hasanova.
Law-enforcement bodies confirmed that Isayeva’s name was in the case launched on the Hasanova’s complaint, but didn’t make clear her identity as complainant, witness or suspect.
OMD sources said that they didn’t receive a patient under the name of Vafa Isayeva and her baby on August 20-25.
Press service of the Interior Ministry confirmed the fact to APA informing that the hospital’s personnel were detained by the officers of the Interior Ministry’s General Office for Combating the Organized Crime after the woman resided in Baku complained to police. A criminal case was launched on the fact and investigation is going on.
The Ministry’s officials said that they would give detailed information after the investigation was completed.
