Traian Basescu: â€œRomania supports conflict solutions within territorial integrityâ€

Bakuâ€“APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Presidnet of Romania Traian Basescu held a large meeting attended by the delegations on August 21. Azerbaijani leader said the countries rapidly developed bilateral friendly relations and partnership in the political, economic, cultural and energy fields and successfully carried out the regional cooperation. President Ilham Aliyey stressed the stability as an important factor in the region and said recent tensions caused big concern.
Romanian President Traian Basescu said Azerbaijan was an important country in the region and played very strong role in the regional issues. He said Azerbaijan was playing important role in the European energy security. â€œIt is reality and bilateral relations between our countries are in a high levelâ€.
The presidents have made joint statements for media after the large meeting. They have specially emphasized that Azerbaijan and Romania had same position in the security and energy fields and it made cooperation between the countries stronger.
Basescu touched upon the regional developments, as well as Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and said his country supported solutions to the confrontations and conflicts within the territorial integrity of the countries.
