Elchin Behbudov to appeal to Ramil Usubov in connection with results of monitoring in police offices

The Committee chief told APA that he had monitored temporary detention facilities of police offices of Hajigabul, Kurdamir, Ujar, Aghdash, Shamkir, Goygol, Aghdam, Goranboy, Terter, Berde, Agjabadi, Lachin, Zerdab regions, Mingachevir, Ganja and jail #3 in Gandja.

The Human Rights Defender said no one appealed to him in connection with the fact of torture during the monitoring. There were facts on detention for over 48 hours in some police offices.

The Committee chief said he would appeal to Interior Minister Ramil Usubov in connection with the facts. Elchin Behbudov said temporary detention facilities had been repaired in line with modern standards, some were being repaired.
