15-year crime solved in Azerbaijanâ€™s Ganja city

Gandja. Nazakat Mashadialigizi â€“ APA. The crime committed in Ganja in 1993 has been solved, Chief of Kepez Police Office Elchin Gasimov told APAâ€™s western bureau. The investigation found out that officer of municipal police, Baku resident Mahmudov Terlan Ahmad killed 43-year-old Sumgayit resident Nasirova Sahila Aslan on the line of duty.
â€œIt happened on March 22 in 1993. Former police officer Terlan Mahmudov fired at the passing car by his duty weapon. In the aftermath of it, Sahila Nasirova was wounded. She was taken to hospital immediately, but died there,â€ he said.

As a result of the operations carried out by Ganja Prosecutorâ€™s Office and Kepez Police Office Terlan Mahmudov was detained. Mahmudov said those who were in the car ignored the warning shot and thatâ€™s why he fired at the car.

Criminal case has been launched on the fact in Ganja Prosecutorâ€™s Office.
