Shooting occurs between police and wanted man in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital, two killed, one wounded â€“ <font color=red>UPDATED 2 </font>

APA reports that the operations were carried out by Baku Main Police Office, Sabunchu District Police Office and Interior Ministryâ€™s Department to Combat Organized Crimes. Jabbarov and men, who were with him, resisted the police.

Chief of 14th Department of Sabunchu District Police Office Azer Jahangirov told APA that the shooting lasted for a few hours. As a result of it, Jabbarov and his father Emirkhan Jabbarov were killed. Their relative Mukhtarov Agil Elshad was wounded. Jahangirov said the police officers had not been wounded.

Two submachine guns were taken from the men who had resisted the police.

Jahangirov also said that the Jabbarovs and Agil Mukhtarov stopped a Mercedes, threatened its owner with gun and demanded money. They also fired at the car. No one was wounded during that incident.

Zulfugar Jabbarov, 23, was wanted under articles 120 (premeditated murder) and 228 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation and carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies, explosives) of the Criminal Code.

Zulfugar Jabbarov was wanted, since he had committed several grave crimes. During the previous operation he had wounded deputy chief of 14th department of Sabunchu district police office, mayor 40-year-old Zaur Badalov and escaped.
