Pardon Commission under the President considers appeals of Georgian and Afghan prisoners in todayâ€™s meeting

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. The meeting of the Pardon Commission under the President ended, member of the Pardon Commission, Peopleâ€™s Poet Zalimkhan Yagub told APA. He said that the appeals of Georgian and Afghan prisoners had been considered at the first meeting. Zalimkhan Yagub said the commission had received a lot of appeals, they would be considered at the next meeting. As regards the pardoning of the imprisoned journalists, the poet said it had not been discussed. The member of the commission also said the date of the next meeting was not known.
The President will be informed after the members of the commission analyse the applications.
The Pardon Decree expected to be signed soon.
The recent pardon decree was signed on March 18 this year.
