Criminals smuggling 95kg narcotic substances from Iran to Azerbaijan neutralized

Sumgait residents - Nabi Guliyev, Shadet Nasibov, Iranian citizens Farhad Kariger and Mahmud, who is being identified, brought to sell 8.426kg heroin and 86kg hashish from Iran to Azerbaijan. Mahmud gave narcotic substances to Kariger in Garagasimli village of Iranâ€™s Bilasuvar Region and gave him task to smuggle narcotic substances to Azerbaijan in exchange for $10.000 and hand them over to relevant persons in Jalilabad Region. Kariger informed Guliyev and Nasibov about Mahmudâ€™s task and they were coordinated to deliver narcotic substances to relevant persons in exchange of $3000.
On July 31, 2008, Kariger, Iranian citizens, who are being identified â€“ Akbar, Mehdi, Ismayil and Nadir smuggled about 95kg narcotics to Azerbaijan. Kariger waited for Guliyev and Nasibov, who would have to take the narcotics from him, near Garakazimli village of Jalilabad Region. His countrymen accompanying him returned to Iran. Guliyev and Nasibov drove in VAZ-2107 to Garakazimli village of Jalilabad Region. They took 95kg narcotics from Kariger and hid the drugs neat Garazenjir village of Jalilabad Region. As a result of the operations carried out by the Ministry of National Security Farhad Kariger, Nabi Guliyev and Shadet Nasibov were detained, the narcotics were found out in the area. Head Investigation Department of the Ministry launched criminal case on the fact on article 318.2 (illegal crossing border of the Azerbaijan Republic), 206.4.1 and 234.4.3 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) of the Criminal Code. The above-mentioned men were held accountable and the court passed judgment on their arrest.
