Skinheads killed 6 Azerbaijanis in Russia since beginning of this year

APA reports quoting Interfax that according to the monitoring of Human Rights defenders analogous incidents was recorded more in Moscow â€“ 36 died, 100 suffered. 16 were killed by skinheads, over 25 suffered in St. Petersburg, 6 were killed, 5 suffered in Sverdlovsk. There are Russians among the victims (5 died, 30 suffered). Skinheads attacked more on Uzbeks (12 died, 17 suffered), Kyrgyz (10 died, 5 suffered) and Tajiks (6 died, 33 suffered). Skinheads have killed 6 Azerbaijanis and injured 10 in Russia since the beginning of this year.
The Human Rights defenders noted that skinheadsâ€™ assaults increased and said law-enforcement bodies struggled against the crimes related to xenophobia and racial intolerance more actively in 2008.
There are reportedly 60,000 skinheads in Russia at present.
