90.4 percent of crimes recorded in Azerbaijan in first half of this year solved

It was said at the conference of General Prosecutorâ€™s Office, press service told APA. Taking people hostage was not recorded during this period. 90.4 percent of 10,338 crimes were solved. Grave crimes against person reduced by 11 facts, 65 (90 percent) out of 73 premeditated murders were solved in the first half year compared with the reporting period of last year. The number of attempted murders reduced by 4 facts and 26 out of 27 such crimes (96.2 percent) were solved. Three facts of premeditated murder committed in Sumgayit city, Narimanov district of Baku and Tovuz region long ago were solved during this period. Grave crimes increased by 25, less grave crimes by 9.9, kidnapping by 2.1 times, robberies increased by 41 percent, swindling by 20.1 percent, plunder and brigandage by 66 and 50 percent, crimes committed by under-age increased by 30.3 percent, crimes related to human trafficking by 76.8 percent compared with the reporting period of last year. 8 premeditated murders remained unsolved.
13 officers of prosecuting bodies were punished for irregularities during this period, one was dismissed.
