195 facts against public morality found out, 62 held accountable in first half of this year in Azerbaijan

Baku. Haji Zeynakov-APA. 340kg narcotics were removed from illegal turnover within the six months of this year. Smuggling of 61.3kg drugs was prevented, Deputy Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov said at the board meeting in Interior Ministry, APA. The deputy minister said that 149 tones of narcotic plants were burnt during this period. He said 244 facts related to human trafficking were found out, this is 106 facts more compared with the reporting period of last year. 25 criminal groups related to human trafficking were rendered harmless, 218 people were held accountable. 106 people were determined as victims of these crimes, 195 facts were found out against public morality and 62 were held accountable.
â€œ101 foreigners, who had no registration, or the documents allowing to live in the country, were detained. Passports were issued to 147,642 people, 332,767 people got identity cards, over AZN7mln. duty was paid to the state budget,â€ he said.
Vilayat Eyvazov said that the ministry leadership received 223 citizens in various regions of the country. The majority of their problems were solved immediately. 1422 out of 13,501 appeals received by the ministry were investigated, 564, which were not in the competence of the Interior Ministry, were sent to the related bodies.
