Koray Targay comments on changed status of OSCE Office in Baku

Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. “Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has offered the OSCE Permanent Council to change the status of the OSCE Office in Baku. The Council passed a decision meeting the desire of Azerbaijan. The Memorandum of Understanding will be determined under that decision. Further activities of Baku Office will be determined only after that,” said head of OSCE Office in Baku Koray Targay commenting on the change of the organization’s status, APA reports.

He said that only the name of the organization was changed: “There is no change in our activity yet.”

Touching on the upcoming elections, Targay said that enough time is left till the process: "However, we are working together with the Central Election Commission. Stability and peace, happiness of the people is more important in Azerbaijan. We will do our best to take steps in accordance with the law and prevent any problem in the elections in Azerbaijan.”
