Heydarov said that at the meeting with the Georgian Interior Minister, they discussed opportunities of joint cooperation on elimination of possible natural and man-made disasters, holding of joint trainings and in case of a threat to oil and gas pipelines passing through the two countries: “We informed the Georgian side on the Azerbaijani Academy of Emergency Situations and focused on the possibility of personnel training here for Georgia. We will prepare a work plan on holding joint trainings. I’m sure that our cooperation will pave the way for the safety and economic development of both countries.”
Minister of Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov has today started his visit to Georgia. The Minister visited the monument to Heydar Aliyev in Tbilisi and War Heroes Monument. Following this, the Minister visited the Museum of Culture named after M.F.Akhundzadeh and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia.
Heydarov will visit Batumi tomorrow.
