Ambassador Elin Suleymanov: â€œDynamically developing U.S.-Azerbaijan relations meet the interests of both nationsâ€

Baku – APA. As a part of their visit to the U.S.,Chairman of International and Inter-parliamentary Relations Committee of Azerbaijani Parliament Samad Seyidov, MPs Sevinj Fataliyeva and Asim Mollazadeh attended iftar dinner at the U.S. Congress hosted by Turkic American Alliance, one of the most influential diaspora organizations of the Turkic-speaking people in the US. APA reports that former Senator Richard Lugar, members of the Congress Sheila Jackson Lee, Danny Davis, Corrine Brown, Ambassador Elin Suleymanov, numerous representatives of the Congress and Turkic-speaking people living in the U.S. also attended the event.

Addressing the event, Samad Seyidov spoke about the importance of the cooperation between the U.S. and Turkic-speaking countries and noted that this cooperation has recently strengthened. He also said that multifaceted Azerbaijan-U.S. cooperation contributed to the international and regional security.

MP Asim Mollazadeh said Azerbaijan-U.S. partnership is based on mutual interests and equal values. He stressed the importance of bilateral partnership in the promotion of values shared by the two countries.

Ambassador Elin Suleymanov emphasized the importance of Turkic American Alliance and numerous diaspora organizations functioning within this Alliance in terms of the development of the position of Turkic-speaking people living in the U.S. and relations between the U.S. and Turkic-speaking countries. He said dynamically developing U.S.-Azerbaijan relations meet the interests of both nations. Suleymanov underlined that numerous meetings held by the delegation of Azerbaijani Parliament at the Congress in Washington are important in terms of further deepening of the bilateral relations.

Senator Richard Lugar, members of the Congress Sheila Jackson Lee and Danny Davis also delivered speeches at the event and spoke about the importance of the partnership between the U.S. and Turkic-speaking countries.
