"UN holds events related to decolonization every year, and France boycotts these events every year,"Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov said at the conference dedicated to the theme of "The Right of French Polynesia to Decolonization - Challenges and Prospects", APA reports.
According to A. Abbasov, the main purpose of the 8 international conferences held by the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) since its establishment, is to shed light on the problems of peoples facing colonialism.
He also emphasized that a memorandum was signed between the Baku Initiative Group and the Tavini Huiraatira Party at the recent Vienna conference.
"That memorandum is a document that envisages partnership between the two organizations not only in politics, but also in the fields of healthcare and education. I strongly believe that we will continue cooperation with Tavini Huiraatira Party in the future."
