Payments in life insurance rise 8 times

Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. AZN 76.85 mln or 24.5% of insurance premiums collected in January-September, 2014, came from life insurance, up AZN 25.55 mln or 49.8% from previous year, said the chairman of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.

51.5% or AZN 39.6 mln of premiums came from life insurance, 31.8$ or AZN 24.4 mln from insurance against accidents at work, 16.3% or AZN 12.5 mln from death insurance, AZN 313,000 from insurance against incurable diseases.

AZN 23.55 mln was paid to life insurance, up AZN 20.5 mln or 7.8 times from previous year.

87.8% or AZN 20.67 mln of payments went to living insurance, 8.6% or AZN 2.03 mln from insurance against accidents at work, 3.3% or AZN 784,000 from death insurance, AZN 62,500 from insurance against incurable diseases.

AZN 30.6 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium during the reporting period, while it was AZN 5.9 last year.
