Baku. Aynur Aliyeva – APA-Economics. Role of correct corporate governance experiences in strengthening of Azerbaijan-based companies’ activity and increase of flow of investment were discussed at the forum organized by International Finance Corporation (IFC), Central Bank and Azerbaijan Bank Training Center.
IFC told APA-Economics that entrepreneurs and representatives of the state discussed the difficulties related to application of corporate governance experiences at the forum organized by FC's Corporate Governance Program in Europe and Central Asia (ECA) under the financial support of State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
Application of corporate governance experiences facilitates access of the companies to financial funds and supports economic development of the country, said that Director-General of the Central Bank Rashad Orujov.
Director of Azerbaijan Bank Training Center Javanshir Abdullayev said that corporate governance experiences may contribute to Azerbaijani companies and financial organizations.
According to representative of IFC in Azerbaijan Aliya Azimova, today’s forum was an opportunity for IFC to demonstrate advantages of these standards for private sector in real examples by sharing existing successes: “We hope that Azerbaijani companies will observe these recommendations and achieve good results”.
