APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS that the document was signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov and Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
Along with this, the companies to export Azerbaijani products to export Moscow have signed agreement package consisting of 48 documents.
Before signing, Y. Eyyubov noted that Russia is one of the main trade partners of Azerbaijan.
He noted that Azerbaijan cooperates with Russia’s 72 subjects and pays attention to relations with Moscow.
In turn, Moscow mayor noted that development of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia is based on trade turnover, which increased by 30% in 2013: “If we take potential of Azerbaijan and Russia into account, this digit is not sufficient. Export of Azerbaijan’s agricultural products to Moscow will increase trade turnover. Though the trade turnover tripled recent years, demand of Moscow markets for Azerbaijan’s products allows increase it by 300 times”.
He added that the issues on continuation of contracts signed with Moscow have been discussed at the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev: “We also discussed reconstruction of urban infrastructure, health, education, culture and other spheres”.
During the meeting, they reached an initial agreement on export of fruit and vegetable products, as well as poultry meat to Moscow.
