Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan sign two documents in customs service

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Today, chairman of Azerbaijan Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev has met with the Chairman of Uzbekistan Customs Committee Zokhid Dusanov.

 

Aydin Aliyev said that this visit will enhance bilateral cooperation. He noted that the trade turnover between the countries does not reflect existing potential: “We have opportunities to expand this potential”.   

 

Giving information about achievements of customs service, Aliyev invited Dusanov to familiarize with the conditions in the checkpoints obviously.

 

Dusanov gave detailed information about Uzbekistan’s customs system and spoke about works carried out in customs structures. He said that 98% of customs declarations are submitted in e-form: “All checkpoints have been automatized. The 93% of vehicle loads are checked via equipments of well-known companies”.

 

He said he supports expansion of customs cooperation with Azerbaijan: “Azerbaijan is interested in Tashkent dog service and customs education, as well as cooperation in exchange of smuggling and infringing good, filling of customs declarations”.  

 

Aliyev gave information and Customs Academy and invited the guest to participate in Conference of Customs Universities to be held in Baku next year.

 

At the end, two documents have been signed between two countries. The first document is a protocol on organization of exchange of initial information of goods and vehicles passing through state borders. The second document is related to Action Plan between customs services of both countries in 2015-2016.
