Azerbaijan’s external public debt made public

Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of July 1, 2014, Azerbaijan’s external public debt made $ 4,987.9 mln, 8.5% of GDP.

 

Finance Ministry says 7.7% of these debts are given for 10-year period, 62.0% - for 10-20 years, 30.3% - for over 20 years.

 

10.2% of these funds are in Special Drawing Rights of the IMF, 60.6% in USD, 24.3% in Euro, 2.3% in Japan yen, 0.8% in Islamic Dinar, 0.5% in Saudi riyal, 0.5% in UAE dirham, 0.2% in Kuwait dinar.  

 

These funds, attracted from WB, ADB, IDB, EBRD, Japan International Cooperation Agency and other international agencies, are spent to support of economic reforms, restoration of infrastructure, road construction, improvement of water supply of the regions, railway services, industry and etc.
