“Budapest is not the best platform for a meeting” – Zelenskyy on potential peace talks in Hungar, APA reports, citing mezha.net.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a meeting with journalists, explained why the Hungarian platform may not be the most appropriate for achieving peace, noting that Hungary blocks Ukraine everywhere. These thoughts surfaced during his talk with the press.
According to the president, he tried to convey this view to Steve Vitkoff, the U.S. president’s special envoy.
“There were many worthwhile options – Switzerland, Austria, the Vatican, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey. Because we are talking about peace in Ukraine, not about elections in Hungary. I do not think that a prime minister who blocks Ukraine at every turn can do something positive for Ukrainians or at least something balanced” Zelenskyy said.
