Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has commented on Russian President Vladimir Putin's view that Ukraine's goal of joining the European Union is a "legitimate choice," APA reports, citing UNIAN.
Zelensky stressed that Putin has been late in accepting Ukraine's membership in the EU.
"Finally, we are hearing signals from Russia. They are already accepting Ukraine's membership in the European Union. Unfortunately, they are late in accepting this reality. Even in 2013, Russia should have come to such a simple conclusion. But now it is necessary to hear it," Zelensky noted.
