Today, a signing ceremony of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Union was held in Brussels, European Council President Antonio Costa shared on his X account, APA reports.
The event was attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and senior officials of the EU.
"The new Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between –, a major milestone in our bilateral relations, will provide an excellent framework to deepen our political and economic cooperation. A happy occasion today to welcome President Mirziyoyev to mark a significant upgrade relation — built on trust, friendship and shared ambition. The EU will remain a reliable partner for Uzbekistan on this common journey as we move from neighbours to strategic partners by choice," the post reads.
