Some positions of US President Donald Trump create new opportunities for Russian President Vladimir Putin, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a statement to journalists, APA reports.
Zelenskyy said that Russia does not really want Donbass; this region is only a means to create an "impression of success" for Putin.
"But no one can guarantee that it will not go further in a few years," Zelenskyy stressed.
"Ukraine's main priority is security guarantees," he added.
The president noted that Ukraine is trying to find gas worth $ 2 billion, and part of it has already been secured. He also said that thanks to cooperation with America, 9 additional power units can be built in the country.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia has already lost Europe to the United States, and Russian gas has been squeezed out of the continent.
