Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will travel to the United States next week, APA reports citing Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Georgiy Tykhyi.
Tykhyi said during a briefing that Ukraine is preparing a series of events within the framework of the high-level week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, in which the Ukrainian leader will participate.
He noted that Ukraine is preparing to host the 5th International Crimea Platform Summit this year during the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly. A high-level meeting of the UN Security Council on “Maintaining Peace and Security in Ukraine” is also under consideration.
According to Tykhyi, the President of Ukraine will have a very busy schedule of meetings with foreign heads of state and government. At the same time, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will participate in separate events and conduct negotiations.
Earlier, Romania’s Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu stated that they plan to raise the issue of Russian provocations using drones at the UN General Assembly session.
