Andria Liluashvili, a close relative of the former head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Grigol Liluashvili, has been detained, APA's local bureau reports.
This was announced at a special briefing held at the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia.
According to the information, Andria Liluashvili is accused of legalizing large amounts of illegal income. This article provides for a sentence of imprisonment from 9 to 12 years.
Note that during recent searches of the homes of Grigol Liluashvili and other former high-ranking officials, more than $7 million in cash, expensive jewelry and watches, paintings, several thousand pages of documents, 50 mobile phones, and 119 pieces of electronic equipment were confiscated.
