The £16million RAF jet fell from the sky in Anglesey, Wales, this afternoon after setting off from the nearby RAF Valley airfield, The Sun reports.
Both crew members reportedly ejected safely from the plane before it came down.
An air ambulance has been scrambled to the scene, with witnesses reportedly saying they saw flames after the plane took to the sky.
Fire crews and a coastguard helicopter have also been dispatched to the scene, reports North Wales Live.
An eyewitness told the publication: “We watched it take off; we’re on shoreside and have watched hundreds take off. I said to my wife it’s in trouble as I could see flames as it took off.
“We watched it climb, then as it was parallel with us, it started to pitch up violently twice.
“Then both pilots ejected, and the Hawk crashed about a mile away.”
The public has been asked to avoid the area as emergency services respond to the scene.
