Two Russian Rassvet satellites, considered analogues of Starlink, are losing altitude in orbit and approaching the atmosphere, APA reports.
The satellites belong to Russia’s Bureau 1440 company.
The Operativnaya Liniya Telegram channel reported this.
According to the report, satellites No. 17 and 23, launched into orbit in July 2026, are losing up to 1.6 kilometers of altitude per day.
It is reported that if their orbits are not corrected, they could burn up and be destroyed in the atmosphere.
