Large-scale military exercises called "Iron Gates" have started at the Orzysz military training ground in Poland, APA reports, citing "TVP Info".
The training area is located approximately 100 km from the strategic Sualki corridor.
It is noted that the exercises are being observed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Poland, Vladislav Kosyniak-Kamysz, and Chief of the General Staff, Wiesław Kukula.
The "Iron Gates" exercises are testing the joint operation of armored, mechanized, artillery and air units.
These exercises are part of the "Iron Defender" program, the largest military maneuvers to be held in Poland in 2025.
The exercises cover land, sea, and air operations and involve the army, air force, navy, special forces and territorial defense units.
In total, about 30,000 military personnel and more than 600 pieces of equipment from Poland and NATO countries were involved in the exercises.
