Phone conversation held between Presidents of Türkiye and Ukraine

The presidents of Türkiye and Ukraine had a telephone conversation, APA reports citing the Turkish Presidential Administration.

During the phone conversation, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Ukraine, the peace process between Ukraine and Russia, and regional and global issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan stated that they are closely following the contacts in Alaska and Washington, that Türkiye continues its efforts to end the war with lasting peace, and that Türkiye will continue to contribute to Ukraine’s security as well as the establishment of peace.

President Erdoğan said that a just resolution to the Ukraine-Russia war is possible, that it is important to strengthen and continue negotiations between the two sides, and that Türkiye is ready to do its best to facilitate high-level contacts that will pave the way for peace.

President Erdoğan congratulated Ukraine on its Independence Day.
