Numerous drones entered Polish airspace overnight and were met with Polish and NATO air defenses, NATO spokesperson Allison Hart said in an X post, APA reports.
She added that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is in touch with Polish leadership and that the alliance is consulting closely with Poland.
Note that during Russia's attack on Ukraine, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones.
Polish fighter jets are reported to have shot down at least 4 drones that violated the country's airspace.
Airports in Warsaw and Rzeszów have been closed due to the entry of unidentified objects into Polish airspace.
