A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin will not take place, despite all the promises Putin made to US President Donald Trump, said German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron, APA reports citing RBC Ukraine.
According to Burkhard, Merz made the statement in Fort Brégançon during a joint press briefing with Macron.
"A meeting between President Zelenskyy and President Putin will apparently not happen, despite the agreement reached between President Trump and President Putin last week," the German Chancellor said.
